haha, it would be a novelty to have one. And mine has a little chip... perfect excuse really. :D After buying 5 new tyres i don't think it'll be done anytime soon. But after my engine/clutch/gearbox/ird/VCU/rear diff swap i'll probably be looking for new ways to keep busy! :D

spare car had no AC, that's my problem. Mine does, the mounting is different Mine is 1.8 with aircon, the donor was 1.8 without aircon. The two alternators are like a mirror image of each other so one of the mounting points is well out :(

Nope, replacement one does not fit at all. should have checked before trying to fit i guess but it seems the top mounting bracket is in entirely the wrong place.

cool, any difference between the years and aircon vs no air con for the alternators? Got a spare one from a 2001 model without aircon outside somewhere that hasn't been touched in a year but done 100k less miles.

Okay, so the facelift hazard switch has a different amount of pins, different clip etc so is not plug and play like the other buttons. I have found an idea for the original hazard switch however. if i swap the headlight 4-position switch to the other side of the steering column the hazard...

You either need that or a way of bolting the heater controls in the right place. you could probably make one out of wood or 3d printed as it isnt hugely complex.

First off, upon removing your centre console you'll quickly notice that your pre facelift isn't the same shape as the facelift version. Not too worry... landrover simply cut the middle tabs off the prefacelift then riveted this bracket on top. So go get yourself a donor car to drill the rivets...

Mine had the basic naked handbrake section. My center console had the front two electric windows, sunroof, door locks and tailgate window swtiches. I've since gotten hold of one of the cubby box armrests, extended the switches and now my center console is free'd up a tad... fitted the facelift...

I went for the brembos a few weeks ago as well. Sort of a fabric backing to them so i didnt bother with copper grease on the back. After 2 years of squealy brakes they are finally silent and work very well!! Very happy.

Updated my center console to facelift version. New and actually black scuttle panel and door handles to be fitted today.

Is it definitely from the rear? I have a similar clunk under the same conditions, as if an axle is taking up a few mm of slack before engaging, however my propshaft is removed and polybushes fitted at the rear. No signs of captive nut being broken either so will be looking at the front offside...

Gonna be doing the drum swap on mine soon, from what i can gather is its pretty straight forward. However the drum is bigger so may foul on the inside of your wheels. <2001 drums only have a mm or two clearance behind the alloy, however for the larger drums they also changed the alloys. Luckily...
