Tell me about it, last year my 90 failed its mot on a bit of welding which the same garage then did, picked it up and 500 yds up the road noticed a grinding so went straight back and the wheel nuts on front left had about 2 turns to go before the wheel fell off. Incompetent numpties!:eek:

If I were you I would change all the lubricants as you dont know when they were changed before you got it,and make sure you tighten up plugs to correct torque and then see if theres any leaks. Not sure whether mirror is a fail or not but someone will soon enough. You can easily adjust wipers...

I like my defender but thats fanaticism ! :eek:

I think I'd be worried if mine didnt give a puff on start up now.

I use my 90 every day for work, if it doesnt work I dont, so that keeps me on top of any issues that arise. Or should I say it keeps me on top of 'the many issues that arise'. No its not the most economical and not many decorators use a defender but I wouldnt have it any other way. I didnt buy...

Good mileage, and the best engine! I wouldnt worry about corrosion on sills if its just surface, can be easily sorted. Looks from the photo that it has'nt been worked too hard. So if the price is right..Grab it!( 'A bit agricultural' thats what they were made for.)

If I were you I would offer tokens... beer tokens for example, to someone on here that is in your vicinity and would be prepared to make sure that you dont get stung if you find something that tickles your fancy

Yup as Litch said, easiest way is to just cut a couple of slats out. I will probably replace my wipacs soon with something better quality and is at least slightly water tight. They are value for money but you get what you pay for me thinks.

Very smart indeed, particularly the wheel arches matching the rest of the body. I presume they were the original and how did you prep them for the finishing coats ?

Do them properly and you wont have to worry about them for years.
