What have you done to your Landie today.

Haha, I wish! ironically we work at Land Rover at Solihull so when something breaks I tell him it's due to poor management ;-)

What have you done to your Landie today.

I wasn't too bad, but I was giving my boss a lift home. He's a nervous passenger, he's worse now! ;-)

What have you done to your Landie today.

Drove home from work in my RRC and something went horribly wrong, wouldn't drive straight, felt like the back was trying to overtake the front. Found the rear axle tie bar bracket had broken off :-(

How is this for a head gasket landrover you are a joke

Mine were similar to that when i removed my 3.9 from my classic. You could see on the block that every cylinder in every direction was blowing and the gaskets were all broken up like yours. The gaskets were approx 80k miles old and they were purchased from Martin Motors. When I built my 4.6, i...

    1983 classic rangerover inner wings?

I'm sure someone on here may have, but a good source of advice and parts is John Eales at JE Developments (not JE Engineering), he's a RV8 Guru, I bought a fair few bits from him incl my cam when building my 4.6. The guy at V8 Developments is also very helpfull.

    1983 classic rangerover inner wings?

My father-in-law has just done his front inner wings on his 94 softdash and he bought his from YRM metal solutions as we had recently bought a rear crossmember from them for mine. He was happy with the quality of them and said that everything lined up nicely. They come un-painted, but if it was...

New shape vogue being revealed !

I work onsite at Solihull and have been seeing the new models around for a while. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me now the more colour schemes i've seen and I think the modern looks just take a bit of getting used to, especially when you're so used to seeing Classics\P38's and...

    retro-fit electric seats

I thought someone might say that :) Unfortunately this was all that was available to me at the time. There is a company who will be making them shortly anyway, but at the time they couldn't tell me exactly when they would be available, so I didn't have a choice. Besides, it's not that boring ;)

    retro-fit electric seats

You're not the only one, both my brother-in-law and father-in-law prefer the cloth seats too. They both have softdash SE's, but my father-in-law's has a special vehicles badge under the bonnet and has electric cloth seats and the really dark grey door cards and trim. I've always prefered...

    retro-fit electric seats

I know what you mean, but I'm swapping my grey cloth interior over to that really dark brown interior that was available. I've picked up a complete leather interior with all carpets and trim for a good price and it will look lovely in my Rangie being a light colour. I am tempted to try and...

    retro-fit electric seats

Thanks, I did wonder if the drivers switch was supplied less voltage by the ECU, but then thought that the switch would be the same spec as the passenger switch which isn't a memory seat? Also, thanks Norseman, I'm aware that I need the seats adjustable for MOT, I will be holding onto my...

    retro-fit electric seats

Hoping someone can help with this, I'm in the process of swapping the interior over in my 1990 classic which orignally had cloth manual seats. My new interior has electric leather from a hard dash SE, 1992 I think. The passenger seat looks straight forward with just two plugs on it, one for...

    V8 Rimmer sports exhaust

i have\had a rimmer system on my classic and had problems with it leaking in places due to the poor quality of it. It ended up being replaced under warranty and i removed the centre-box and had a straight through pipe and it sounded great with my 3.9 engine, but when I put my 4.6 in, it was...

    Saw something amazing this weekend...

:) Mike, my brother-in-law and father-in-law both have very nice softdash's so when there's some sort of family event that we all turn up to it gets quite embarrasing sometimes lol. Handy if one of us needs towing home though as there's always something wrong with one, two or usually all three...
