Fitted new steering damper and Drag link ends
Also fitted poly-bushes and new drop links to anti-roll bar!
Got wet doing it.....
(And I don't mean I was really excited)
It is if my wife is using it.
It's not used massively off road to be honest but only because it needs more work before I would be happy taking it somewhere fruity.
I have used it a number of times to tow Gaylanders out of boggy ground at the flying school I go to! And a bit of rescue work...
Realised I have a funny judder when I go over bumps on the motorway.
Could this be caused by the WATTS linkeage or is this something more serious?
The judder commes through the steering wheel and is quite unnerving!:5bnopity::5bnopity:
(I do need new WATTS linkeage bushes)
Done most of them now!
I did buy a 6t press to get the big ones out!
The only thing with working on the underside of your Landy is 'Finding other things that require your attention'
Require
New WATTS linkeage bushes
New Drag link rod end
Steering damper
Then the tracking will want...
Nothing interesting,
Quick hoover our and wash and polish.
Ready for the manky british weather to attack.
Really need 2 new tyres and the tracking sorting....
Mine failed at 4.9 before I removed the EGR then it passed with 2.1
Was really full of Sh!te.
One day I will also clean out the inlet manifold because that was really manky inside.
Another thing to think about is Multi Storey car parks!!!
I know its GAY but my Disco will JUST fit at the moment and if I lifted it ar Dorris would crash into the roof of the car park.
Boring reply but worth thinking about.
