i just dont get it !! the gear box was great before thr prop shaft and vcu was taken off, have had to have a new handbrake cable cos back brakes were stuck, i hope i havent fixed one problem and made another, drippy has recomended a bloke 2 mins away from me so going to see him 2moro, i can hear...

getting very fed up now sorted the vcu problem and now the gearbox sounds like its winding and the front of the car feels clunky. yes andy ! i can hear u laughing from here, really wishing i hadnt bothered, :(

ok just dropped it off at the garage, the mechanic bloke says if he takes off the vcu and the propshaft so i can send the vcu away for re conditioning the handbrake wont work ?? is that right ? dont want to get ripped off !!! or end up with no handbrake ? help please !!

thanks Russ !! have been to local land rover dealer and he said it is the vcu ! and they are very expensive !! so as a temp measure going to do as you said !! its a 1.8 petrol engine !! dissapointed wanted a landy for ages had a honda crv before. :(

which part of the prop shaft has to be removed if the vcu is broken?

ok now im panic struck! have booked it into to my local garage for 2moro.
