    P38a Fuel problem

I have a friend who had the same problem with a DSE. It turned out to be the high pressure diesel pump. Unfortunately it is rather expensive and time consuming to replace, but after he changed it, the car works perfect. It is also easier to start.

Right had enough of this now, changed head gasket and its still ****ed

Sorry you 'have to' sell it. The window problem you mention is 99% sure the window gasket that sre displaced. Itf it has fallen all the way out, you probably have a ratteling sound when the window is partially open? It takes 20 minutes to fix it. Take of the door card and you will probably...

Right had enough of this now, changed head gasket and its still ****ed

I had problems with an airlock, what I did was to starty the car, let it run for 1-2 minutes, stop it and then open the expantion tank. When I did this, lots of air came out. Repeat the procedure 3-4 times and it should be empty of air. If neacessary, refill water/coolant between each round...

    Multifunction S/Wheel

Are you sure it is the switches? A very common problem on the P38 is that the vacuum hose that goes to the cruise control cracks up. They sit on the top, left side of the engine and are very easy to replace, I bought some standard vacuum hose for £3 and replaced mine in 10 minutes.

    Range Rover 4.6hse Problems

Yes, they can be fixed and I am sure it is actually faster than replacing them. You should check if the gears inside the black box is OK. if they are, you can weld out the motor and put a 12v (9v will also do) battery on it and see if it runs. Mine would bearly move and needed to be pushed to...

    Range Rover 4.6hse Problems

You probably do not have to replace the blend motors, my experience is that it is only the brushes inside the electrical motor that are beeing rounded off and shortcircuts the motor. They can easily be replaced or sanded down to be flat again. It took me an hour to fix, the advantage is that...

smoke coming out of engine bay p38

I had the same problem, turned out to be the breathing hoses from the rocker covers. There are two of them, and mine where collapsed and breaking apart and oil where soilling out of the holes. I bought some standard petrol line hoses and cut them myself.
