So having replace the distributer and ignition coil, i thought everything would be rosy however its not... Got a very strange problem, sometimes the car when warm starts almost before you have turned the key, then other times it really lazy and takes forever before turning really fast and...

done now another issue..

umm so my 24mm socket does not fit, it seems to have something on the front making it deep, maybe for a crank handle?? would they have had that?

Hi folks, Is there a special tool to manually turn the engine to get it to TDC? I also cannot see any markings on the wheel,any tips? Hoping not to have to use the old stick down number spark.. cheers

Right chaps needs some more help :), got the kit from Simon went to install and thought all those base plates look very dirty and they are but when removing all I found two metal type gaskets around the spindal... I have attached a couple of pics can anyone guide me on how to put all back...

So it must have got upset, would not start at all today, popping from the exhaust, took a look and the rotor arm had become brital and had a part around the clip broken, so this might have been the cause of my issues, can anyone help from the picture about what rotor arm I need to buy, is it...

i took the dizzy cap off earlier its looking pretty rusty inside, what do you guys think, could that be the cause of the starting taking a while? looks like it is electronic rather than points??

So i am thinking about a 1k to throw at this engine, its a 3.5 rebuilt 13k ago. Currently thinking about starting with a hotwire EFI kit, so i should be able to DIY that (or maybe find someone to fit, should be no more than a few hours labour right?), as no lambdas and cats etc.
