    British suspension

Good for you, now that is something I'd like to do too...support the home market if I can. For example isn't Adwest British? Allisport make stuff in Gloucester I think. Avon tyres...are they made in Melksham/chippenham or similar? Sam's Trim...they make seats...where are exmoor trim made....hang...

what from a disco 300 will fit my 200tdi 90?

I think the radiator and intercooler maybe useful although slightly different. Someone else will confirm but the starter motor is probably compatible, as is the alternator if you can change the pulley. The 300 tdi turbo and inlet manifold will fit although the down pipe will need a kink in it to...

Blank canvas what's mods would you do

I agree my standard heater is excellent for clearing the screen and warming the knees. I give it a good flush when I change the coolant. The extra heater would be good for me as I keep my dogs in it from time to time, could set it on a remote fob or timer to get it warm in the mornings. Driving...

Blank canvas what's mods would you do

Improved heating to include webasto air heater, heated windscreen and seats" As has been previously mentioned receivers front and back for hitches and potentially a light winch. Deadlocks on all the doors with a strengthening of said in a subtle way. Xeng pedal lock goes without saying...very...

land rover 90 (disco 200tdi )apparently overheating

you may have an earth problem and it's always worth checking, however, as it's a disco 200tdi it's obviously a conversion, in which case it'd be worth checking you have the correct sender in there. When I did my conversion I'm pretty sure I remember the gauge showing too hot before I matched the...

YES.........just been considering an automatic 50th Defender but the prices are amazing and I think they've gone up again recently....I'm sure they were around the early teens middle of last year....very seriously considering scrapping my auto disco and using it to give me an auto 90

    Stickers or not...?

Great rebuild thread....very inspiring.....your vehicle to do with what you will but seeing as you are asking for opinions I think it would spoil a very professional looking.... The only thing I have seen that looks very subtle is when people have wrapped their Landy and left a same colour...

Loud bang coming from rear...not prop lash.

don't know if this applies to you but I just changed my rear dampers on the 90 and I noticed the axle end damper mount was ovalised which would allow sliding in certain conditions...I haven't tried it on the road yet to hear if this will cause noise but how much movement was present on yours...

So diff pegging was a waste of time!

Lets get something straight....I know nothing.... but, would a few rubber doughnuts in the drive train such as there is on the Discovery series one be helpful to reduce the shock loading you seem to be suffering from....chances are you'll get through a few but they are a cheaper option than a...

    Bloomin spiders

I'm really happy to have spiders in the 90, quite a few made their way in when I had the floors out...just concerned they don't have enough to eat

Thanks AlbertDef90 that gives me a good idea of what I've been quoted and whether it's near the mark or not....might look elsewhere Good rebuild thread by the way

    200tdi rebuild

looks like a good job done by the blaster.....would you mind telling me how they charged to do one axle? Had a local quote for £100 for front and rear axle which feels,a bit steep but then I'm probably out of touch in getting work done by other people
