could it be anything to do with low brake pads shifting it the calipers when there wet? know someone who had a tapping on the pads when he'd been through water-they were low

tried the penny thing to no result-apart from fraying the edge of the belt, RAZ- they say put a penny at '9 o'clock' between the tensioner mount bit and the engine block, but as i say did nowt for me!
