Unplugged the satnav (blue and maroon connectors)....no difference. Reconnected...no difference. What does the video module look like please and are there any tests I can do with it? Many thanks again.

Problem may be that I'm in Argyll, Scotland, but maybe he can point in the right direction!

Hi again Saint.V8, just replaced fuse 49 after 30 minutes+ and no difference. Screen is lighting up (back lit) but not showing anything! Thanks

Hi Saint V8, I have checked the red light on the navigation unit, it comes on for a few minutes then blinks for a few seconds then goes out. After the red light went out I removed fuse 49 and locked the car. I will report back in 30 minutes when I have replaced the fuse. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply. The vehicle was jump started several times by a local garage due to completely drained battery. Not sure if they followed the correct procedure, but unlikely! When I remove fuse 49 can I lock the car for the 30 minute wait? Finally, not sure what red light you are...

2002 L322 V8 Vogue. Unfortunately I had to have the vehicle jump started (due to alternator failure). New alternator now fitted and all is fine but the radio/cd/satnav display has gone! Radio/cd are working fine, but no display. I have tried fuse 49 out/in after 15 minutes but still no joy...

Thanks v8hotrodboy, I think I might do that, on eBay for less than £40 new. Concerned about the VANOS DTC......could a problem with this be screwing up the system? :eek:

I'm sure I read recently on here that it's only NAS L322s that have tank vent valves.....is this correct? If it is why am I getting this fault? Think it was Saint.V8 who posted this info?

Thanks for that N5Fav. I have just got a Bearmach HawkEye which has Tank Vent. Valve actuator facility. I will try that and see what response I get. Will update later...

Thanks Saint V8, vert helpful. Any idea why it takes 5/6 miles for the faults to return? I now have fault 98 showing 'Tank ventilation valve solenoid valve' in addition to the above?? Forgot to mention, car has LPG system fitted.

I have located the inhibitor switch on the gearbox ok but where is the connector C1452 located please? I assume at the back of the engine but can't get in there to see :(

Was the car moving when you kept getting the FAILSAFE messages before the loud bang? I am getting the message sometimes but only when stationery and selecting PRND. Thanks
