Thanks Yes it is the early toothed pulley. It is solid and will not come off. I tried a puller kit and broke the puller centre bolt trying to get it off. So it would probably need cutting off so I left it on. Col

That's the problem. At the moment it's stuck up the drive with no crank damper on so I can't get it to MOT. To get it running and get it tested I need to fix crankshaft and fit new damper. It makes sense normally to do the mod on the timing whilst it's all stripped before bodging crankshaft...

Also Links to kits with decent tothed timing pulleys. The new mod kits have lips on the toothed bottom pulley but I keep reading that some of these are just spotted on and break. Col
