What work does it need and are you capable of doing it / can afford to have it done? I paid that money for a M reg 300tdi so that seems cheap to me for a R reg but I don't know what needs doing.

Drained fuel out and I could see the broken off part under the governor assembly. Got it out with tweezers. Ordered a new acc. shaft from local diesel specialists. It arrived this morning so off I set to fetch on the bus ... it's 2 towns away. I get there and the guy hands it to me. I ask...

Bugger indeed. Gravity has been my enemy so far as the prong has disappeared off to the bottom of the pump so I can't find or see it to retrieve it. Do I risk gravity being my friend and keeping it there and I just fit a new one ... or do I need to get that out ... which I can only see...

I've had a leak on the throttle shaft on the 300tdi for ages. Yesterday I went to local diesel specialist and he checks shaft and says there is no play so prob doesn't need new bush ... just new o ring. So I buy o ring for 60p and a new gasket. I follow the guide on lr4x4 site...

Hi guys It's been a while. I've read the sticky so I know what I can put on. I'm back to sorting out tyres. I know the standard sizes are 205 80 16 or 235 70 16. As per my last thread can we forget the new option at the mo. Two choices that I have ... 4 x 235/70R16...

Cheers guys I know what you mean about the speedo. That site says at 30 on the speedo I will be doing about 32 with these tyres ... yet when I go past these speed signs and my speedo is saying 30 they say I'm doing 28.

Thanks gents So I'll get 2 x 265 / 75 / 16 to match the fronts. I just wondered if there was some disadvantage/advantage to having the original sized 235 / 70 / 16's .... maybe fuel economy? I read the other link that says the speedo will be out by about 9%. ( obviously not desperately...
