No help with the mechanic, but just as a pointer just had this same problem myself..ended up being release bearing had melted..it had only done approx 500 miles previous owner had fitted a britpart clutch and bearing.so be aware. I used a valeo hd clutch and got a rakeway release bearing..after...

All 8 circlips fitted into grooves, Gkn 75mm ujs used, both ends of prop still on car ie on front dif and transfer case.( so bolts was done up tight) To be honest im past that anyways more bovered about these part nos, cheers

Heres the story...last week replaced my ujs on 200tdi disco 1, Cant have pushed a cap in far enough as it flew off at 65mpho_O Anyways on searching as i have a 2"lift im best getting a wide angle prop..(i know double cardan is best but i dont want to change flange yet) So question is?? Tvb100610...
