Hello, Currently rebuilding second series 1 86, I want a fully syncro box but I also want to retain the mechanical clutch, so is it possible to bolt the series 1 bellhousing on a series 3 box?

Have you got any pics of your conversion yella? i am also doing this conversion is the series rad big enough and is one elctric fan man enough?

Put a 2.0 petrol in! or any series 4cylinder lump! Cutting a series 1 80" about is not right!

I ran 85% veg in my 2.25 diesel all thru the winter with no problems accept 1 night by mistake probably had 100% veg in the tank went to start it in morning and it siezed pump and broke pump shaft. Other than that no problems, fuel hoses and filters were fine, on long runs i ran 100% veg did...

Try a 75% diesel to 25% veg oil mix first c how it goes should be fine then do a 50/50 mix and see how it goes at this time of year it should be fine.

I think they are the same just measure it up! Then you will know for sure, I would go for lwb axle to for the bigger brakes!

If you fit a later axle with wider u bolt plates it works out ok i did that on the rear of my 80" when i fitted a series 2 axle,

series 2 axle will fit if its a later wide front spring model, if not u can adjust it to fit!

As long as you fit the series 1 or 2 clutch to the series 3 engine it will fit fine. Carb is on the otherside of the engine so you will have to extend fuel lines n thotle linkages, other than that its easy. And swop the engine mounts over,

Has anyone got the cog bearing bit that you put in the gearbox that goes in the back of the gearbox? I need one becaause my overdrive didnt have it! hence it was cheap!!!!!
