Hi if it's getting that hot it's blowing the hoses off , are the fans kicking in, are all belts at tension, check electric fans are coming on. hope this helps.

Yes i understand you, thought if damp had got in the switch it would have helped, as you say I'm not too good on electric myself without the right gear.

This will be my plan for future repairs, I found out the hard way through cost and inconvenience.

think the best for you is start with switch pack, elimination best way for you.

ok so if all other windows work off the pack then the switch is at fault, in previous posy he said he had fit a fresh window motor and it made no change.

use a tester with a bulb, start with the plug to switch see if you have power to switch, if no power there then it will be a break .

don't for get to press window down switch lol

you need ignition on but I would start it.
