What lurks behind the lower dash ?

Last night when I was knocking out the old rotten drivers footwell, a load of mud/Muck started to fall from the bottom of the dash, this was followed by bits of rusted metal , I'm guessing that this is not normal. :( So what can I expect to find if I take the dash out:confused: Jim

    fitted new bits

Thanks for the advice e.t.c., but did you always intend yours to take a year or did it just grow into a year long project ?

    fitted new bits

Yep welded all around, don't want the back flying off when someone tugs me out of a muddy hole or when I pull someone else out of a muddy hole. With the body off it is easier to get at all the other bits, I have set my self a time table of end of December to have it back together, but I'm not...

    Bio Diesel

Thanks for all the advice. What to run it on is not a problem at the minute as it 's refusing to start, I'm not going to spend to much time trying sorting that out, for now as I have lots of body/chassis bits to repair first.

    Series III owners manual

Well I got my Series III owners manual today and it's an eye opener it tells you useful stuff like torque settings and steering angles, it even has a wiring diagram, and a fault finding section that does not say take it to your nearest dealer. Oh and I thought my diesel engine only had 61bhp...

    Bio Diesel

Does anyone know if a series III 2.25 diesel can run on Bio-Diesel (not Veg Oil) , could the diesel corrode the rubber components of the fuel system. I know on newer diesels this is not a problem but not sure about an old Landrover Engine.

    Got my Series III home

The garage is made from steel, but it is so thin it is nearly see through, the whole lot weighs the same as a bag of potatoes, in fact in strong winds it can be used as a large stunt kite.

    Got my Series III home

I've checked while it's been sat in the garage and there is no oil leaks, but I have read that means it's empty.

    Got my Series III home

Does anyone have an electronic version of the owners manual for a series III I went to start it today and ended up with the side lights on it took me ages to get them to turn off and I'm still not certain how I did it. When I eventually got it started it was a bit of an eye opener when I could...

    Got my Series III home

Better late than never I thought I would share the Joy of getting my Series III home on the back of a trailer last Sunday. To get it in the garage I had to take the roof and back door off, but I intend to take the body off anyway so I can repair the chassis. I'm lucky that can also heighten the...
