I wonder if that is it, Were the the drive flanges different on the TDI disc braked models? And I thought swopping wheels was going to be easy:confused: Still, I am learning!!

Thanks for the help. To answer James question above, Hub measures 11cm across as does the back of the wheel where it contacts the the hub but then the wheel tapers in so won't sit and therefore the studs (which all line up ok) don't come through far enough. I think as Phil says, I need spacers...

I did do a search but couldn't see an identical wheel. I bought a set of these for my 1998 300tdi but they don't fit. Seller said he had them fitted to a 1995 Defender before he sold it and the research I did on here seemed to suggest that pre-TD5 Disco wheels would fit my vehicle. Can anyone...

Natas - you should have wax oiled the chassis while it was hanging there !! - but then I guess you don't need waxoil in the Bahamas :cool:

Yes local coachworks are doing the B and C pillars. Bought the metal from YRM and stripped the panels off the o/s before I dropped it down to them. I was hoping to try and get a couple of temporary replacement bolts from Screwfix so they could fit the door and I could get it home but it'd still...

Refit all o/s panels following B and C pillar replacement followed by full service (except R380 as I forgot to buy 3 litres of MT94 :5bredface:

3 fails in one dealer and failing at such low mileage makes me wonder if they have changed the boost hose or maybe have fitted a bad batch at the factory. Glad you're back up and running

These are the bolts that connect the hinge to the B-pillar. Anyone have one knocking around they could measure? I don't have the vehicle here otherwise I would remove one from the other door. Part number is AFU1036

Toast - I had the same problem but on the passenger side. I cut a couple of wooden shims and wedged them between the metal and the sound deadening material. Worked a treat and it if you need access to those areas (which you will) it is non permanent. I think the material is heavy and the fit...

Try running your hand over the radiator to see where it is hot and cold as you should feel some heat on the bottom of the rad and indeed the bottom hose. It sounds like you may have a blocked radiator so I would try flushing it. Put clean water in at the top and see what comes out the bottom...

Rust is all part of the 'patina' for old Land Rovers and you definitely have nothing to worry about. Just be glad you haven't got my 2nd row doors or your worry levels would prevent you sleeping:D For many of us here it is part of the charm!!

+1 again on the 110. Wife, dog and 2 semi grown up kids fill mine with all their crap every journey, but it is nice being able to get it all in and the second row seats can be your bulkhead!!

I have been looking at them too but keep hesitating at the thought of aluminium inserts bonded into the fiberglass as this set up can prove problematic. I do like the thought of not having to inject loads of Waxoil into the doors to stop them disintegrating:D Does anyone have any experience of...
