The 1st and 2nd imobiliser wires you need to break into a circuits needed to start the car ie stop solenoid on first and starter solenoid switch on second you could even break the electric fuel pump feed if you have one the decision is yours, the others are self explanatory Ground...

Repair panels are ok ..... They still require a bit of fettling to get right ..... I find it easier to make a repair piece up myself . Just make sure you cut it back to good solid steel which ever way you go, it's a very satisfying job when it's done and painted and one you'll get used to doing...

You need to be cutting out more than that little patch ....... You need to get back to good solid clean steel, your likely to be cutting out at least an inch onto the bulkhead face and be having to remove the hinge ...... Do it right do it once :)

You just have to do your best to stop the thieving scrotes , mate had an attempt on his 90 a couple of nights ago they got passed the disklock and alarm, but crashed it into a wall around the corner ..... as an extra security measure every night he locked a strap attached to a D ring on his...

Its not that bad really and nothing a couple of hundred quid wouldn't fix if you were getting it done for you That's Land Rovers though and a big part of owning them is keeping them from falling apart :eek:

Paid just under 5k needs welding already though should of looked a lot closer at the chassis. Thank fook I can weld

I couldn't afford a Defender if I had to pay for repairs, I'd be fekin skint .not that Ive got any cash anyway . Do what I do fix it ye self and if you can't fix it paint it at least it will look good :)

Don't go paying out to get stuff done . Moneys best spent on tools cos boy are you going to be needing them ;) . It's all simple stuff though and what owning a Land Rover 's all about .time to get ye mits dirty

Should be a couple of slots in the floor for the rod ends .Ive a clamp you can have for postage if you want it :)

(I reached this priced based on searching nationally on Autotrader. There is nothing or very little of this quality in original condition around £3000) Thats because everyone with a Defender thinks there sitting on a gold mine Just because there advertised at a particular price .....doesn't...

Just go for it you won't regret it .................... First 90 I ever bought was a dog but you should of seen it 9mths later, after a bit of tlc and Real of mig wire :)

I don't get how he didn't know ............if your oil pump fails, unless your a total dipstick you'll know about it within a couple of miles .....sound ,heat, smell... Fcuk am thick as pig **** but there's no way Ide drive a motor till it seized

All Land Rovers have a dipstick it just appears that the D4,s sits behind the steering wheel. Surly you would know if your engine was about to seize, the temperature gauge must of been in the red . You would of felt the engine getting tight Fcuk youd of been able to smell it.Ide of stopped it...
