The water pump is behind the viscous fan, the waterpump pulley is the one mounted behind the fan.

Are there any pics or further details somewhere?

I have tried everything to get my fan off but I cant stop the pulley from moving - tried hitting it to shock it, jamming a screwdriver between the waterpump pulley bolts.... not sure what else to try grrrr

Having read peoples posts on here im a little worried - my tank is 90L and out of a full tank I get 180 miles around town and 200 on a long journey. You all seem to be getting alot more than me - mines a singlepoint so maybe thats got something to do with it or maybe it just needs a good service.

Mines a V8 RHD - still not got the fan off yet as I dont have a long enough screwdriver to hold the water pump pulley in place.

Thanks datatek, I thought it was left hand thread but I was searching the forum before I posted my question and it had a post saying that it was a normal hand thread..... now I am unsure..... Wondering if it differs between Thor and Gems...??

Could someone please help me; I am unsure how to remove the viscous fan - I have got the right sized spanner but no matter what I do I cant manage to stop the fan from fan pulley from turning whilst I am trying to undo the nut. Is there are special way? :confused: Many thanks for any help :)

Would a faulty thermostat cause overheating?

Ill try that - my lpg hose comes off a T piece on the header tank and runs behind the engine over to the lpg unit - its about a metre of hose. Maybe thats where the air is hiding!
