I would guess that if you start sliding you will start to slide downhill...and so you should try to avoid steering into it cos you would then broadside to the hill...which may cause you to roll...if it's a steep hill. I think I'd prefer to be facing uphill in that situation....cos I have 5...

Got the swing away spare wheel carrier from Paddocks and just fitted it today. Not the easiest of jobs and really does need two people and a good afternoon to fit but the end result is very pleasing and saves straining the door hinges. I know there are posts on other boards about the fitting...

I've got the DB8000 on the 300Tdi. It came with the truck so I'm happy enough although I haven't used it as such, just unspooled and respooled to check. The problem I have is that the Defender came without instructions for the winch. I can't get it to free-spool unwind, which is a PITA, and...
