yeah thats what i mean, when i put it back in high range the problem wasn't there for a few weeks, as if it relocated something back into place, i could live with it but it's really annoying......might be worth the repair bill just for that alone!

could be to do with cold running, i live close to work and it's through a town centre so most of my driving is 1st and 2nd gear, never gets chance to warm up much, i noticed though that after the snow we had a few weeks back when i had to use low range it didn't do it for a few weeks after...

i have a 300 TDI discovery and over the past few months i have started getting a crunch when changing from 1st to 2nd, it doesn't happen all the time but can happen at high or low revs and at any time, will it keep doing the same and not get worse or can i expect it to fail on me completely one...

just wondering if the remote locking on 300 TDI Discoveries is generally rubish or is it just mine, it only works when less than about ten maybe fifteen feet away, tried changing battery but no change and the same happens with the spare remote too, does anyone know where the sensor is located?

I've had my 300 TDI Discovery for two years now but this is the first time i have joined a forum, i figured it would be a good place to get technical help and info as i like modifying to a certain extent so hopefully you guys can help me some.
