it seems to be some sort of union where you squeeze the sides to release the pipe but cant get it outregards kev

hi could anyone tell me how to seperate the main fuel line from tank to the front of vehicle got it off the tank just where it joins the metal fuel line near rear axle 04 diesel disco regards kev
