*CANCELLED* LandyZone 13 - 24th/25th June 2017 - Everything you need to know!

Could we not individually book for the camp site and have an unofficial LZ13 meet up? Obviously it'll be bring your own beer/food etc. As for toilet facilities I'm sure the site will have a block somewhere. Just a thought

Can you find out more info about an engine?

As ovalandrover said, the ebay seller should be able to give you the mileage and service history of the engine. It's worth sending a message and see what they say,

Genuinely gutted to hear this, was really looking forward to it. I would like to take the chance to thank everyone for all their hard work and time they put into organising everything. Although it hasn't panned out this year, we all appreciate the effort you made. I'd like to be more involved in...

    P38A High beam issue

I'm pretty sure on the gems the HEVAC powers the A/C directly, on late gems and thor there is a wiring harness and gets power directly from battery, could be mistaken tho.

    P38A 4.6 GEMS '95 ABS DIAGNOSTICS

You can buy the nanocom for the gems and then buy an additional licence for the thor or vice versa, think it was around £50. I've recently bought one for mine and am impressed with what it can do. I was down your neck of the woods last weekend camping in cornwall.

I remember doing them on my old DSE and thought I'd like to meet the designer and ask what on earth he was thinking!

    V8 Discovery cooling problem!

Welcome to the forum!!!!! I would say don't drive it untill you get it sorted, the V8's need the cooling system to be in tip top condition otherwise you run the risk of cooking your heads. If it's be stood for a while it could be the rad is blocked with silt and rubbish or the baffle has gone...

P38A Think I've sussed the cruise control....

Being umming and arrrggghing (not the pirate type of argh lol) for a while and now the air con has decided to spit it's dummy out again (last time it was a new condensor) I thought it was time to invest in one. Looking forward to having a play! Be interesting to see what it can do

P38A Think I've sussed the cruise control....

I traced it from the pump side and lost it behind the matrix coolant pipes, no wonder I couldn't see it lol. Grrrrr, I'll give the light cover method a try, think I've buggered one as the map light comes on but the courtsey doesn't. I thought that, but no matter how much I try it won't move...

P38A Think I've sussed the cruise control....

Been getting around to the little jobs that the weather, untill the last few weeks, decided I shouldn't do yet. I've been replacing the dull yellow interior lights with LED's and the difference is incredible. Done the main interior one, just waiting for the wedge led's to arrive for the map...

    P38A Very high idle

Rest assured I'll set it up according to RAVE :p Please, I prefer the term 'portly' :D I have some red vac pipe specifically for that task! I've traced the vac hose across the bulkhead and, with the help of an endoscope, found where it disappears behind the coolant pipes to the heater matrix...

    P38A Very high idle

Hi guys, thought I'd give you a quick update. Checked and cleaned MAF, throttle sensor and that made ono difference. Had a look on RAVE and got distracted (as you do lol) by the cruise control section (hasn't worked since I've had her. Went out to have to have a poke and prod and noticed the...

    P38A Very high idle

Thanks for your continued help! It does seem to be pointing in that direction doesn't it? As you say, diagnoatics is the way to go now. EDIT: where is the temp sender located? Coolant temp sender? thanks

    P38A Very high idle

I've tried the cable from both the throttle body end and the pedal end and seems to move freely. I'm ging to take the air pipe off and have a good look at the throttle body (butterfly bit) tomorrow and see if that is closing fully. Thanks for all the suggestion so far, keep em coming :D
