    Rear wiper wont stop!!

    Check all the wiper switches, as the contacts in switches can wear and stick. The wiper is obviously getting a feed from there abouts as it comes on if you select reverse (which it is supposed to do but only when the front wipers are on)

    It is a caused by a faulty brake light switch. The same happened on mine a couple of months ago. LR released an upgraded heavy duty switch.

    Engine noise ?

    I have always known diesels to do this, I remember the Perkins motors in the FLT`s I used to work on, even a new engine sounded as knocky as anything until it warmed up.

    TD4 engine oil level check

    Also, if you remove the oil filler cap prior to checking the oil that will eradicate any air pressure differences in the system. I always disregard the first reading or two and have a tendency to take the third as most accurate.

    I drive with mine open and considering LR sell mesh guards for when the dog is in the back I think it is perfectly safe.

    Bonkers Freelander - is there such a thing?

    There was one like this in LR monthly a few months back, a freelander on a disco chassis, with raised suspension and all the extra little bits and pieces, a freelander on steriods :D
