    Problems all ready

    The same happened to mine not long after I had bought it earlier this year. The HDC and TC lights coming on are indicative of a faulty brake light switch. The old type switches have a tendency to stick as they wear, under a tenner for a new switch and a two minute job to change it.

    You have not specified if you have a 5 door or a 3 door, as the load space covers are different for each model. The 3 door has a solid type cover, whereas the 5 door uses a roller blind type.

    It is possible that there was a short in the bulb from the stoplight filament to the sidelight filament, Used to work as a service engineer and found faulty bulbs every now and again.

    The switch on the left is the factory original, The switch on the right is the genuine LR heavy duty replacement for the crap original. You just need to get a short connector wire that converts from one plug type to the other.

    Mine is just the same, get cramp in my leg waiting at lights, :D Feels like the clutch on the old Seddon Atkinson 401 I used to drive.

    If it`s the TC and HDC lights then you have a faulty brake light switch, 2 mins to replace it.

    2 Issues, advice needed

    The key issue is more likely to be that a previous has lost a key so bought a spare and had it cut, but not got it coded to the ECU at a dealers. So you can happily open up and turn the ignition on but not start it. Costs approx £120 to get a replacement key and have it coded at a dealers.

    I run mine at 28 psi all round, that is with 195/80R15 Federal AT`s and I average 38 mpg, 5 door Td4.

    WARNING LIGGHTS Help plz

    The brake light switch is located under the dash and is operated by the brake pedal. If you lie on your back in the drivers side footwell and poke your head under the dash you should see it. Only takes 2 minutes to change it.
