Hi
Whatever alternator you fit, just make sure the pulley is bigger and not smaller than the original one. I blew 2 from Disco's before I sorted out the problem.
I've had no problems. Mine is mounted on the roof rack. Had it on for a year now. Use the car daily, but sometimes it stands for a long time. Stood for 2 weeks when I was in hospital. Started with no problems.
Mine is connected directly to the battery with a inline fuse. I leave mine on the car 24/7. Great when we go camping. I use a inverter to charge laptop, cellphones, lights and I also run a fridge. I can camp for 7 days without problems from the 2 105ah batteries connected to the 20w panel...
I have a P38 and it also has a similar problem. When it stands nose down with a low tank, it doesn't want to start. After letting it roll to a flat service, it starts on the second try.
Hi
Be careful of to much weight behind the back wheels. I have 2 spares on the bumper and the weight keeps on blowing my rear airbags. A modified Discovery 1 snorkel will fit. A snorkel does not increase the wading depth of the car. You will have to waterproof all the electrics as well. It...
Hi
I used the compatibility mode on mine. Ran without any problems. I also soldered the serial just behind the original plug. I have a flashdrive with the unlock program in the car, so wherever I go, I just use any pc to link up and unlock.
I used the old R-clips. I think it is a good idea to keep 1 or 2 in the car just in case. All you need for the back is tools. Front has springsteel clips on top, so maybe 1 or 2 of them as well. No special tools needed. I use a Leatherman and a piece of wire.
Mine did the same. Also compressor fault. On Range Rovers there is a way to bypass the internal temp sensor in the pump. I did it and mine has been running fine since.
The airbag has a plastic part at top and bottom. Over here we call it bakelite. It forms part of the airbag. It joins the bag to the diff and the chassis.
The reason for 2 wheels is that not all punctures appear in the thread area. Some are caused by stones cutting the sidewall. In that case...
Hi.
The car does have a lot of weight behind the back wheels. If I go up a steep bank with camber and have to gun it, the left side bakelite part of the airbag explodes. Quite scary.
It was made by a company over here called Gomad.
As you can see from the pic, the wheels swing out(That is NOT...
