Which Alternator? 4.6 HSE 95 Reg

Hi Whatever alternator you fit, just make sure the pulley is bigger and not smaller than the original one. I blew 2 from Disco's before I sorted out the problem.

    Hi All

I would rather drive a Gaylander than a Toyota or a Nissan, so maybe the guy wasn't so bad.

Coil springs! Why would anyone do that to the car!

Not the Defender wanabe (Think it is called a 70). You talking about the LC200 which is a piece of crap in any case.

Coil springs! Why would anyone do that to the car!

Those guys that converted to coils are closet Toyota Land Cruiser fans.

p38 fitted a solar battery charger

I've had no problems. Mine is mounted on the roof rack. Had it on for a year now. Use the car daily, but sometimes it stands for a long time. Stood for 2 weeks when I was in hospital. Started with no problems.

p38 fitted a solar battery charger

Mine is connected directly to the battery with a inline fuse. I leave mine on the car 24/7. Great when we go camping. I use a inverter to charge laptop, cellphones, lights and I also run a fridge. I can camp for 7 days without problems from the 2 105ah batteries connected to the 20w panel...

Petrol cap stuck shut on P38

Mine opens when the key is in the off position. It doesn't have to be out.

    A tale of warning...

I have a P38 and it also has a similar problem. When it stands nose down with a low tank, it doesn't want to start. After letting it roll to a flat service, it starts on the second try.

    hi all

Hi. The centre diff is a viscous unit. It will engage as needed. You then have t/c on the back wheels only.

what you think of this winch?

Very nice ! ! ! Why not use a quick release mounting? Then you can use it on the front or the back?

    P38 DSE mod wish list

Hi Be careful of to much weight behind the back wheels. I have 2 spares on the bumper and the weight keeps on blowing my rear airbags. A modified Discovery 1 snorkel will fit. A snorkel does not increase the wading depth of the car. You will have to waterproof all the electrics as well. It...

    EAS on windows 7

Hi I used the compatibility mode on mine. Ran without any problems. I also soldered the serial just behind the original plug. I have a flashdrive with the unlock program in the car, so wherever I go, I just use any pc to link up and unlock.

p38 fitted a solar battery charger

I've got a 20watt unit on 2 x 105Ah batteries. The only time it doesn't charge is when it is raining and at night. I also run it without a regulator.

Has any1 tweaked there PSI box????

No wonder you had me there. We don't have the diesel in South Africa. They imported only the 4.6 H.S.E. Thanks for the reply.

    eas problem AGAIN :)

Have a look at Range Rovers. I also think you have a leak somewhere.

eas re set is it possible

I used the old R-clips. I think it is a good idea to keep 1 or 2 in the car just in case. All you need for the back is tools. Front has springsteel clips on top, so maybe 1 or 2 of them as well. No special tools needed. I use a Leatherman and a piece of wire.

Has any1 tweaked there PSI box????

    What is a PSi box?

eas re set is it possible

Mine did the same. Also compressor fault. On Range Rovers there is a way to bypass the internal temp sensor in the pump. I did it and mine has been running fine since.

    Expedition prepped RR's - Classics or P38's!

The airbag has a plastic part at top and bottom. Over here we call it bakelite. It forms part of the airbag. It joins the bag to the diff and the chassis. The reason for 2 wheels is that not all punctures appear in the thread area. Some are caused by stones cutting the sidewall. In that case...

    Expedition prepped RR's - Classics or P38's!

Hi. The car does have a lot of weight behind the back wheels. If I go up a steep bank with camber and have to gun it, the left side bakelite part of the airbag explodes. Quite scary. It was made by a company over here called Gomad. As you can see from the pic, the wheels swing out(That is NOT...
