got the steel .cut it shaped it hopefully it will bolt onto the origanal sill brackets while i get them in place . then i will have to make them more sturdy with some extra brakets front and rear . cheers

painted the wheels and taken a sill off.

tonight after work i have painted the wheels.and taken one sill off .as they are both all dented and bent . the plan is to get some steel and make some new ones . a bit more heavy duty somthing that will take a few knocks . just dont know yet how i am gonna fix em on . any body else done this...

this is all new .shoes pistons springs and drums .i bought a brake kit from paddocks the new adjusters are the same size as the old but just very flimsy the way they go together . will just persivere with them might adjust the master cylinder rod thingy need to do a bit more more reading first.

hi all had my front brakes off again today .took the edges off the new shoes .to stop them squeeling .Am i right in thinking that when you adjust them that they should not spin on the hub when adjusted right up .mine do the adjuster cam can go right over .and thats with new shoes and drums .re...

its a 1970 ex military 2a dont sound two bad a job then .20 -30 mins a side take me more like an hour or so .will see if i can get the bits from famous four .due to them not being to far from me thanks for that .the jobs keep mounting up but it s useable now .so thanks again cheers

hi all i am going to remove the freewheeling hubs somtime soon as they are both smashed and gaffer taped up by previous owner .after readin a few postes it seems they are more trouble than they are worth was going to relpace them.but not now so the question is whats it going to cost .how big a...

hi thanks for the help just fitted indicator warning lights up .took feed from the stork they both work now got to sort the rest of the dash lights . so the clocks light up .there is a switch that goes to the clock bulbs so got to check that out when i get time cheers

no mate havent checked i know its just behind the speedo .wouldnt know if its the right one or not but it works just got no visual in the cab so thougth about fitting in some small lights .just so i know there working ,cant allways hear it clicking due to all the rattles and engine noise . cheers

hi all any electrikery people out there .just found some small dash lights .the ones you drill a hole for and just push them in .i would like to wire them up to the indicators .due to the fact the one on the stork dont work . now would i wire them up to the flasher unit or try and wire them up...

will try and whip the hubs off this weekend try and sort them cheers

by leading edge do you mean top and bottem . i just roughd em up with 80 grit . but could take em off again .getting a dab hand at this cheers

hi all having just done all the brakes on the 2a and got them working ok ish they squeel like hell when i use them dosent look or sound good when pulling up any where .dose it take time for them to bed in .cant be doing with that noise all the time cheers

hi oxides it a 2a so clocks in middle but if the speedo is the same . i will give it a go there seems to be some clips holding the clocks in . i could do with them out to get behind to see where the light bulbs are .cheers

got the brakes sorted for now .the next job dash lights there are none .looked behind the clocks but i think speedo cable is holding them in preventing me from gettting in there fuel gauge dont work as well and is the main beam a red light . and if i undo the clocks can i get them out to find...

springs on ok bottem to both shoes. top ,to back plate and shoe having checked them the brake shoes seem to be only touching the new drums at top and bottem got 2 dyas of now so hoping to get them right .but reading some old posts could be a dodgy master cylinder but thanks for the advice i...

right then just spent a few hour s over two days trying to get the brakes right . just get it all bled up no air good peddle take it on road to test have to pump peddle two or thee times befor they work . back on drive re bleed no air comes out . strip new hubs of brake shoes only making contact...
