    Hi guys, Got a 97 300tdi disco. Rear diff has been making a grinding noise for some time now (similar to binding discs). Started getting vibrations from 2000 rpm and above now, plus a horrible squealing noise when accelerating. I've jacked the rear wheels up individually and span them...

    Ok, Is it just a case of removing half shafts, rear prop shaft, Un bolting old one and bolting on a new one? Cheers

    They are all good, I've just replaced rear discs, pads, calipers and bearings as I was convinced they were the problem. But the noise is without a doubt coming from the diff

    Hi guys, I've got a binding noise coming from the rear diff on my 97 300tdi disco. It's similar to brake binding noise, plus shuddering when braking above 40mph. Any ideas? If it turns out to need new rear diff, is this hard to replace?
