now then, i dont live in essex for a start so cant help there , but having done welding to the boot area before 24 hrs labour aint to bad its a right **** job easy to weld my arse . rust rust and more rust find your self a bbf that can weld . best of luck bud hope it dont cost you to much .

now then , owned the same spec disco for five years i called it the slug cruise all day 70 80mph hit a hill slowed down to a crawl, did all the things thats been said twice over just got used to it pulling away from lights ect plenty revs.mine was a manual?( never make a getaway car)good luck

now then ,i did change the seals in the steering box not for the faint hearted, it only lasted a few weeks before it leaked . a lot of work for no result so for me its a no go try paddock for an exchange unit, good spannering :)
