Does the earth strap just attach to the chassis or battery?

Ah well you see there isnt an earth strap on there (is a discovery engine), i have made a temporary earth but i dont know where i can get a strap from

To start with i have a 3.5 v8, starter motor burnt out the other day so have put a new one on and all it is doing is clicking, very confused took it off the engine and it pushes in and spins but when in the engine it doesnt, faulty starter or something more serious? Cheers steve

I have. 1986 90 was orginally a 2.5 petrol at some point in its life has had a v8 put in so i have no idea what the transmission is lt77 or lt85 so what do i do to find out which one it is?

How is your gas fed into the air or into the carbs?, usually you should just turn the idle screw down on the backside of the carbs (SU Carbs)

My crank case ventilator often gets clogged up and requires cleaning because that starts getting cream on top (has a mini air breather on top) id check and clean that, unscrew take inside out throw in some petrol or gunk give it a switl round leave it 10 mins bobs ya uncle see what that does...

Well i have a 3.5l high compression discovery engine in my 90 and the plan is to remove its su carbs and put an edelbrock 500cfm :D but can you get an adaptor for the gas system with te edelbrock? Cheers steve
