Diesels are ridiculous to tax out here. The annual tax on a diesel freelander 1 here would be more than I just paid for it. Still see loads of diesels about here though.

Yep! just aquired a 98 Freelander. I am in Sweden and my other "car" is a Chevy Z71 step side with a 5.7 liter engine, so I needed something a bit better on fuel. Picked up the Freebie cheap as it was a barely running beast with loads of electrical problems. I understand this is unusual but...
