Hi digby, yep, already done that to. Got a brand new Bosch MAF, disconnected the synergy so everything was back to original. It ran like a bag of spanners, just like when the MAF is shot. Put my Piersburg MAF and synergy back on and it runs sweet as a nut but still had the black...

Hi Dan, cheers for the offer, I might just take you up on that as I am only 1/2 hour from you. Thanks for letting me know where the actuator is, I will have a poke around tomorrow. This problem is really annoying me now, I cannot believe that a Landrover specialist cannot find the issue.

just been speaking to Rover Ron, great bloke and very helpful. He suggested that it is not a fuel issue i.e over fueling but an air issue i.e lack of air to burn the fuel. He suggested that I check the turbo boost actuator wires(where is this) and check the turbo boost pressure. Any idea how to...

Yep, done that as well. The technician said that it is not the injectors. It was hooked up to landrover diagnostics and it only picked up the MAF and fuel pressure sensor.

already done. I only have it on the air setting at the moment. When I put the map on it smokes even more. Probably compounding the underlying problem.

I was told to remove all marks (polish etc) with a normal pencil rubber and the use the liquid cherry wax shoe polish. Works brillant. I always put some silicone spray on top.

Hi Guys, sorry that its been a while ( dad on his last legs, been a bad month ) Anyway, time for an update. I went for the diagnostics. I was told MAF signal was low and fuel pressure sensor was low. I have a synergy box on with a Piesburg MAF so I got a new Bosch one and it made no...

All booked in for a diagnostic tomorrow. I will let you all know the results. Got to say that I am thinking that it is the injectors. Anyone replaced them themselves. Is it a hard job? I'm no mechanic but will tackle any job that isnt a major project. Once again, this is because i'm tight. The...

Hi, just the mesh one. I replaced it a couple of months ago when i did a full service. would that effect the smoke issue. I am not sure what that filter actually does. fuel is only BP as i need to collect as many necture points as i can at this mpg !! I have given it a good dose of Redex a...

Hi Matt, if you mean the filter on the top of the engine, I have the toilet roll type. It has only been on since I serviced the car. I did put a new turbo vent filter on at the same time.
