Landy is my Car and it consumes all most all of my free time right now :(
I have small computer related firm and we are main service center for KitchenAid, Wagner and YD pharmaceuticals products in Serbia...
My hobby is servicing everything that has motor in it :) so I bould small service...
Finally everything is done, well except ABS connector. :o
Now I have to pack all those wires
But I have more serious problem:
Hm there is some thing wrong ? :p
Ouch? :(
I'm going to integrate Webasto, alarm, DRL etc...
Of course, relays, ABS, Windows ECU must be positioned to the right side and fuse box, light switch... must be positionet on the left side.
That is the main reason for this creasy doing...
Last summer in Greece
And Freelander Serengeti also converted from Right hand to Left hand so I think that I know what I'm doing. Everybody else think that I'm creasy :bump2:
I do not really know. There are some differences between wiring looms that I managed to see. Therefore I decided to go hard way and to be sure that everything will work (or I hope so :D ).
wire soldering
A lot of patience and a lot of time
Carefully separate the wires...
During this time, my little girl is playing with the cat :D
From right to left, wipers ...
Before:
After:
But it is not just a mirror image, the lever, the wiper motor ...
Wrong side ;)
Just a few more weeks and I'll ride again ...
Everything has to be dismantled to move parts from the old to the new Land Rover.
I found a strange device digging in electrics.
It looks like an electric thermostat and it is connected with a box for heating. What is it?
There are two relays and a probe that is inserted into...
Yet I could not resist, we got a little ride around the village. Fortunately there were no police in sight ;)
After a short drive, we dismantled the interior and prepare to move the steering wheel.
Beautifully preserved, just sorry to disassemble, but I have to do it... :(...
First disassemble the old Land Rover...
I need more space ...To switch the steering wheel from right to left.
And after 30 minutes convertible Discovery. :)
It looks nice, But it's still cool to be driving such a convertible :)
My first step is to convert this red Disco from right hand drive to left hand.
Any experience would be appreciated...
I have already converter couple Freelanders so I have some experience.
Does anybody have any experience in this matter?
I live in Serbia, Discovery is not so common as in UK...
But I think that I can find one 4 door Discovery imported from UK.
My first question is:
Chassis for 2 door and 4 door are they the same?
P.S. Excuse my bad English...
Here is my beautiful land rover discovery
Unfortunately last friday one little Peugeot did this:
Now I'm in big trouble. Insurance will pay me some money. The lady did not see the stop sign...
The case is totally destroyed so I need to replace it... I need help...
