right this is a diff i took out today 2nd one.. what was whinning when off load! one in car now doing the same. its off a 300tdi. and yes i put 1.7 litres of ep 90 in it. But this really dont answer my issue that there is a spacer on a 300tdi diff by the looks of it when i been told theres not...

right so basically just put this spacer onto the flange before or after the dirt metal guard ? or just side on the shaft and put flange on after and nip it up ?

basically i got a diff today and it came off a 300tdi with a 3 bolt flange. the flange had no play at all .. so bascally this is a run down i did Took Pin out of 3 bolt flange Un did Screw what holds 3 bolt flange on Pulled flange off Got 4 bolt flange and fitted with dirt seal metal thing ...

Hey well today was a today write off ... took my Discovery 300tdi prop of to swap for a 200tdi plus flange to find my shaft in the diff had loads of play "side to side up down etc .. i was after a guide on how to rebuild and what what i will need so i can keep it as a spare any help on this...
