    Cheers again, well i might try making another in case the lead has split inside other than that :confused: its a shame as the SW makes a good difference to the sound even if the head unit is good. Couldnt believe how hot the heat sink at the back of the headunit gets also :eek:

    I do understand what a relay is for, to switch a high current thing ( lights ) using current feed . But this is what my original question was about just wasnt sure if rocker switch is better off on the live feed or high beam feed that's all.

    Yip 300tdi :o) I think I'll remove the steering column cowel and with the multi meter try and trace it that way then . Cheers boys. Oh , I tried to get the cowl off before, got the two screws closest driver and unclipped at front, but it didn't come off, is there further hidden screws?

I will try and get a live feed from battery here to, that way most of the lightbar wiring and relay are inboard. I could feed directly from battery and headlight but seems an awful waste of wire if there are...
