I have had four battery's in three years, all premuim grade. The latest is only 4 months old and its a genuine part. They have fitted an isolator switch to the the gubbins under the rear trim, that has'nt worked, but it does make the vehilce unstealable ! (mind u the flat battery does that too)

Its always done it, and I have lived with it, when its goes for service I ask them to have a look whilst its there, but the fixes so far have not cured the problem

That is the sympton... use it daily she fires on sight of the key, leave for a three days (avg) and it you don't even have central locking.... and before the I hate P38's brigade all start singing in harmouny... a lot of modern vehicles suffer from these issues...:p

As "cats" become older... do they degrade i.e. the vehicle decats itself or do they block up, i.e become more restrictive.. anyone know?

Its a 2002 P38 if that makes a difference !

O.K I am now getting irritated by leaving my Range Rover on trickle charge and would like it sorted.... does anyone know of a mechanic (or ortherwise) who is the mutts nuts at this sort of thing.... North Wales / Chester area prefered.... Thanks in anticipation.

All the ones I have seen fitted previously don't seem to finish flush ? leaving it look out of place, surely this is the same again - just painted !

Yep agree make the guy a real cheeky offer for the 2000my... you may be pleasantly suprised!!!!!

My advice would be to buy one from someone in the "know", eg a land rover enthusied or mechanic, then usually most of the common faults would have been ironed out... some of the worst horror stories I know, are when then are purchased off second car dealers... not through the fault of the...

I expect to be able to jump in my 4 x 4 and drive it any weather... it would help me justify the cost of the damn thing :D, had to abandon the rangy and fire up the ford fiesta.... wheres the logic in that?????, anyway on the plus side just emptyed a can of wd40 into every available orifice...

Why, why, why does a a vehicle built for the worst scenerios suffer so easily from frozen door handles, after eventually accessing and egressing via the boot, I have left my p38 with the engine running and the heating on full.... does anyone have any tips or mods how this can be avoided!!!!!! :mad:

yep thats correct, I said one reason behind owning a Range Rover is it looks impressive, and for some reason you think that means I have a small dick... I can see your the kind of person who condems everyone you see driving a "flash" car.... even though you don't have a clue what the person...

So because I like my vehicles to look good that means I have a small willy - great deduction.... my Range Rover is my swiss army knife it has a 101 uses, and the fact it can do everything I want and still look good cleaned and polished is what makes it my only choice of vehicle.... whats so...
