    Discovery 2 tyres?

I've got General Grabber UHP 255 55 18 and am very impressed. They are road biassed but also rated M & S so should be ok in the field

Disco TD5 18" wheels restricted tires

I would recommend General Grabber AT2 - 255 55 18 - All terain tyres - or General Grabber UHP - a more road biased tyre- Both are good on tracks, Brilliant in snow - and no extra noise on road. However I think you should consider changing to 16 inch wheels. I did because I found that 18" wheels...

rrc air suspension ride quality question

I took the air springs off my LSE and replaced with coils. Never regretted it - better ride and far less trouble on coils

    V8 or TD5

Keep the V8 and get the backfire sorted. Change ignition leads, spark plugs - get the system serviced. I have two V8's both with Gas (one sequential - one single point. Never get a backfire

    Snow tyres

Over here in Poland we get a lot of snow. Grabber AT2's work fantastically. Traction control never even cut in when 2ft or so of snow on the ground

    LPG Question

With an 80 litre tank you should get 64 litre fill. on my 4.2 LSE that would take me approximately 200 miles (average driving). As said the only way to calculate is to let the tank run dry - refill - and drive until empty again. LPG guages only give an approximation but if you zero the trip...

300tdi non abs spongey brakes.. fault finding.

Check the easy things first. Symptoms point exactly to air in the hydraulic system. Bleed the brakes from the bleed nipples at the calipers. 90% this will be the problem

    Fog Light Wiring

Hi, Hope that some of auto electricians can help. I am wiring in a set of fog lights and have been using a Halfords universal rocker switch. Everything works but it looks a mess. I now want to wire in a proper switch - part AMR 3751 - but this has 5 terminals - I have only 3 wires - anyone know...

    Disco2 Hardware - Bars n racks

Thinking of getting one myself, Foss. My main worry is excessive wind noise on motorway. In your experience is wind noise excessive

    Disco II Sunroof

If you are getting wind noise I agree that most probably the glass is not seating properly. Try repositioning by undoing the four screws under the glass - and check that the rubber seal is seating properly. I (I think) have solved the same problem as yours by sealing between the roof and...

    Axle Stands

I agree. I use 3 ton stands - price difference is not great and if I'm underneath I like to think there is a lot of safety margin

    LPG Conversions

I've never had a P38 but I do have a 110 CSW 3.5 litre, RR Classic 4.2 litre and Disco II 4.0 litre all with LPG conversion. 110 has been converted many years ago, RR Classic I converted 6 years ago - and recently converted the Disco II. The fact that I converted the Disco says it all really. I...
