Hi all, Disco td5 W reg, stuck on the drive key wont turn in ignition. Has only started doing it this week but now has completely packed up steering lock on any ideas

Mine does this everytime someone sits in the back and puts there feet under the passenger seat, i just jiggle the wire a bit and it goes out.

Took the sensor out by passenger front door and alarm now works as before, the sensor was soaking wet from leaking sunroof so maybe it will work again when its dried out.

If it proves to be the sensors is it as simple as changing them or am i looking at a dealer with a degree in computers.

Update, if i lock the door with key and unlock using remote its fine

Hi all, the alarm on my series 2 is playing up. When i lock it with remote, the alarm goes off straight after the 10 second setting period. The only way to stop it is to lock it with the key in the door. Now i know by locking it with the remote your setting the interior sensors but ive checked...
