    Has it always revved this high or just started? any modifications? Revs at 70mph (:eek:) on my manual 300 tdi are just over 2000 and so should yours be. I assume you are using 5th gear?

    Its a lead that bypasses the spider :rolleyes: Of course, you will need to know what a spider is, as far as I can make out its the immobiliser unit on a V8 which commonly suffers from dry joints and other electrical gremlins, so it is usually bypassed........probably, hence the spider bypass...
