I think the offset of the tubes is to allow for the thickness of the alt. Left side bolts through alt to bracket and right side bolts through adjuster to alt. Apologies for hijacking the thread, interested in one myself! 😁

As would I probably be worth more as scrap! Needs saving and think of the achievement when you get it back on the road, if you have the room and will to work on it go for it, I know I would.

Looking at your picture and the example one, have you got the bolt in the right place? Should the bottom left alt bolt not line up with the bottom left bracket bolt?

Maybe a daft suggestion but.... Have you measured the hight of the trailer hitch when level and is it the same as the disco hitch? You may need to drop the tow hitch to match the trailer, if too high your rear suspension will take all the strain.

Had mine MOTd yesterday and the tester logged into the MOT system to check. He even mentioned the fact I had no advisories last time. IIRC the system has changed in the last 18 months or so.

As the MOT system is computerised the garage where you take for the MOT will see that the recommended work has been neglected so may well lead them to investigate further or fail automatically. If it was mine, as a matter of course, I would check items of the advisory list and make sure they...

It does say 15/40 in my handbook so if that's what Land Rover recommend.... And at £1.20 a litre I am happy! 😁

15/40 non synthetic! I have used it before without issue. Personally I like to use inexpensive oil and change regularly to remove any nasties!

As per title after many months fettling took the old girl for an MOT and she sailed tthrough with no advisories! To cap it off went to Wilkinsons where they had a sale on oil and bought a bottle of 2 stroke for £1.50 and two 5litre engine oil for £6 a pop! A good day all round!

Don't want to throw a spanner in the works but..... Just checked the wiring for the lights and it has two relays in a board with just the one switch.

Sounds like the turbo is running away! Do a search for what this can do as it is quite dramatic. IIRC a quite diagnosis is loss of engine oil. Check that and if you have lost some this may be the issue! If wrong I am sure someone will correct me! 😊

Discool can I ask a question as I don't know that much about electronics? If I was to separate my wiring into pairs and add 2 extra fuses and relays but still use the same 12v feed as I don't really want three switches in the cab. Thanks in advancr

Mine came pre wired including a hardened sleeve which I ran up by the snorkel. To be honest seems like a very well made bit of kit as it was all cable tied and waterproofed ready to fit, that's why I questioned the 3 relays. Not had any issues with it up to now.

G-shock every day! I have had a wave solar for around ten years, charges itself, keeps the right time with the atomic clock and if you go abroadnit changes the time automatically! It's the first watch I have ever had that i have not been able to break!

Hmmm, mine has isx lights but only the one relay fuse and feed! Is this not good?

I got one of those from someone who decided not to fit, it came with the loom etc but only the one relay! Out of interest, and it may be a daft question, why would you want 3?
