Black smoke is an air leak, white smoke is water and blue is oil. Check all hoses are on correct even the feed pipe onto the turbo. A loose or disconected pipe will cause power lose and black smoke as it upsets fuelling as there is no pressure from the turbo. Hope this helps

Had a look today and to be honest the pads and disks are right down will change them and see. The wheels have not been off and not had any judder or vibration since i changed the front prop shaft. Will keep you posted thanks!

Hi i have a 97hse 4.6 Looking to see if anyone can shed any light on why i am getting a judder below 20mph? Its coming through steering but only does it every so often? ANd if i speed up it goes away but stays if i apply the brakes? Any help would be great Brian

2 checks to make the first Have your local garage unconnected the eas ECU (this is found under passenger seat) this would disable the display Secondly how did the garage manually inflate your system? As certain ways can send voltages back into the eas ECU and damage it beond repair...

Block might but think the injection system had changed, you would need its ecu and harness to convert or use excsisting heads and manifolds and just use a new block?

try changing the driver module attached to the valve block under the bonnet, my last hard eas fault was cured with one of these. If you can read faults from it, it might say exhaust valve stuck shut or open.

Has anyone fitted a new water pump to p38 4.6? if so is there any thing i need to know? also what size spanner is required to remove nut/bolt between the fan and the pump? (looks like a 30mm?) any help or tips would be great thanks for looking
