As i say will check ignition timming tomorrow let any fuel evaporate and will let you know my findings. 3.5 efi mine did same drove ok on throttle but felt way down on power was after a few steep hill climbs and through a few fields. I changed from carbs to efi for reliability its fustrating...

Thanks Mr Noisy will get myself out after work reset ignition timing and take spark plugs out and let it dry itself out then re try tomorrow night. Dizzy does not seem to have moved though? But will give it a go as how you describe is exact same as my situation!

cheers guys. I am getting a tapping noise from cylinder 2 and 4 which stops if i take ht lead off? there is no overheating and but cant figure out what it could be. Its like exhaust leak type noise any ideas? If i swap ht leads about on these cylinder noise goes but cylinder 2 exhaust runs...

I was wondering if it is possible to adjust the idle on a 1988 3.5 EFI engine (from range rover classic) as its in a 90 there is no rev counter so i can only tell its high by listening. Cheers for any help

Top hose is hot but doesnt feel pressured. Will pump from other engine fit just to make sure before I buy a new pump? Cheers.

Also with lid off the expansion tank water/coolant comes out the over flow

I have converted my 90 V8 from carb engine to a range rover lucas efi 3.5 engine runs sweet except overheats. Radiator gets warm after switching off - but blows cold air through matrix. With pipe off matrix there is very little water coming through - is this likely to be pump or could it be...

How did you fix the seized viscous coupling? I experience a slight judder between 15 and 25 MPH only through steering wheel and only have wear on the inside of drivers front tyre. I also get a strange noise when i lift off above about 40 MPH which last a second or 2? Cheers

I get similar noise but when lifting off at any speed above 40mph the sound lasts for a couple seconds max then goes away, i also get a judder between 15 and 20mph which felt like ujs but mine are all new as is front prop, on speaking to my friend he recons tracking is out and steering dampner...

I have fitted a tow bar to my 1997 4.6HSE only problem is i cant find wiring diagram to connect wires from tow bar electric socket to the spare loom behind drivers side rear lights. Can anyone tell me which port on connector goes to which colour wire on the car? Many Thanks Brian
