Aye noticed a few things that looked like that. D44 one looks like it is 6 bolt mounting and the britpart just uses the 4 vertical standard bolts. But can only find pics of the d44 mounted so might just be me... d44 britpart

Got a goodwinch tds goldfish from a mate, so now looking at winch bumpers. Was liking the devon 4x4 clubman one, but britpart one seems pretty similar. Anyone got either, whats the quality like? Britpart seems cheapest by a fair bit and any other solid piece of metal from britpart seems not...

just to make sure i have them all the right way should the taper be the same at the top (cause it isn't :rolleyes:)

Sorry to doubt you, but they are definitely different and taper the opposite way, so must be side specific? Front one is wider at the bottom than top. Or at least my ones are :)

i didn't think so hence just whipping them off and going for it..., yeah left the shims attached to the doors so i didn't get them mixed up. Looked at a few adverts saying kit for left and kit for right so just assumed i had cocked up. Swapped them with the doors shut top ones first then...

Painted the door hinges on my defender, unfortunately forgot which one was from the left and which one was right :o, fitted them up and door seemed tight, so swapped one over and it's still tight. How do you tell the difference between them, i can't see any part number on them. When they are...

Wasn't really leaking just retaining rings were breaking up. But fooked sounds like it needs replacing anyway. Not quite as bad as that other one :eek:bet they leaked

pushed the wrong button :o Fixed.....

Replacing the retaining rings on my swivels as they were falling to bits, one of the balls has a little pitting, im assuming it is re-useable, can anyone confirm please? Seal was a bit chewed but it wasn't leaking... Cheers Stu

Thanks Grimmer, hopefully the current lack of snow (hopefully won't regret this) and the run up to Christmas will see a snow tax rebate. :) I'm in no rush to get one, so has to be the right vehicle.
