my work collegue has a td5 discovery 2 (2004) and is having gearbox problems. when it gets hot the gearbox gets very stiff. the oil has been checked and it will not readily go back in to the nuetral position.... any ideas gang ?

not sure but i was once told they are the same as from ther morris marina ! so it may do....dont get it from Landrover it will set you back about £80. i got mine from a breakers yard for £15 with all the workings included...best of luck

i'v tried copious amounts of WD40 through the key hole..i will try removing the landrover badge and applying it to the mechanism..i presume the badge just prises out ? if not its dismantle time...thank you for your advice anyway.

I am having trouble with my 'r' reg 300 tdi. I shut the back door the other day (as you do) and when I went to open it the next day it was not having it. the door lever seems stiff and wont return to its proper position unless you pull it down. it will only open if you put the key in and turn it...

no heat can mean low water in the cooling system...just a thought but have you checked it...you are not specific about what in the heater is not working.

i have a recurrent problem on my r reg disco TDi. every now and then the fuel tank breather system gets blocked up and when i go to refuel i am met with a back draft of air from the fuel tank filler cap...any ideas as to a solution?
