Hi, I recently bought a 1997 Disco for a bit of fun over the winter and it is really slow, like probably 30 seconds to 60. In another section, I have been recommended to potentially change the cams as these can be really affect the performance. I can service a car but i've never done...

Cap and rotor? Didn't check. I need to look into these things, anything more than a simple service and I don't really know without looking.

I did a small service on it, new plugs/leads, oil and filter. Seems to be a little better but still slow so will need to look into that. Shone a torch into the water bottle and saw this which isn't good! Should I try and flush the system first?

Got a rope although problem not the correct one. I will come along to the pub if I can and go from there. It's only shiny because it was resprayed last year. I don't mind a few battle scars.
