took off EGR valve, cleaned it, put back on, then blocked off the vacuum tube :D. was going to take the intercooler off for a check but the bumper has to come off for that so i just left it for tonight, discovered (the hard way) that i need a new tailgate window regulator though :/

Been informed by a friend who is big on is landy knowledge that freelanders do have a problem that they "sweat" a lot so Hippo is right when he says about the dehumidifier, also using A/C will help clear the screen quicker

Hi all, finally got round to upgrading from my old S reg L series deisel to an 02 plate TD4 and i was wondering, would an EGR blanking kit from a disco TD5 fit the TD4 engine? as my old man has his blanking kit left over from when he had his TD5, Thanks Scott

found the problem! the abs ring i had to weld back on had too big an air gap and that was enough to throw the sensor, 1 new CV joint later (as the old one was rusted away too much) the problem has been solved :D

thanks, ill get onto buying a new switch and looking at pads and discs then bleed the whole system soon, as always money is an issue

i got it on friday night, had it on the road less than 2 hours on saturday and then the problem struck

found the problem, turns out there was some gunky s**t in the fuel pump! runs on the button now!

Yeh, going to check all the sensors tonight, if its none of them then it must be either the injection pump or ECU, but then if it were the ECU you would think the engine management light would be on?

Will do, if you can think of anything else that it may be helpfull that would be great

Had a look at your thread but there is no engine management light present.

yeh sorry kinda in a hurry trying to figure out whats wrong. checked turbo hoses and maf dont know whats wrong, when we get her running shes hunting too.
