    Bull bar

As for the original thread. A full bull bar not an A-Bar is usefull to protect from branches causing front end damage from branches while driving over grown roads. We don't all accept that body work scratches and small dents are just par for the course. On the Friday night outing we had a...

    Bull bar

That would be incorrect. You never were a boy scout then. Only on Saturday I ended up been pulled out of a pot hole. Thinking should be nothing to bad I hadn't fixed my new tow bar so had no rear recovery points. You should always be prepared. It could be you knee deep in cold water & mud...

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

There taking to pee. If it was booked in today to be fixed then should be no problem. Sounds like they haven't bothered to a lot enough time in the days books. Or have chosen to do an emergency.

    Idea for bloody cheap insurance

Don't bother as they ask for evidence. However if you join landrovernet.com and have a bit of a search they used to and I think still do get a club discount with AdrianFlux.

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

Yes it is expensive compared to want I would get charged at my local garage. But if I went to another well known garage that price would be about right.

    Idea for bloody cheap insurance

Have you tried the NFU as its a Land Rover you might get a better deal from them.

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

Yes but the cost of the clutch fork parts is about £10 -£15 your paying about £270 in labour  For piece of mind I would change the lot now for extra £90 and save myself £180 in 6 or 12 months time.

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

Just make sure they fit a heavy duty clutch fork. I would also look at getting the clutch changed as labour cost for strip is costly.

Winches! To have? not to have? which one?

Look forward to the updates. If you try mm-4x4

Winches! To have? not to have? which one?

Hand winch would be my vote. Perhaps look at the tirfor copied. The Black Rat one is highly rated and about half the cost of a Tirfor. Make sure you have plenty of shear pins for it just in case. I would also look to a proper course on recovery. Your local land rover club might have some one...

    slight drift when braking?

I would check the hubs after driving to see if one is warm or hot from the brake binding. Also it would be worth taking the wheels off, pads out and cleaning up the piston edges. I had this a month back and it was crap on the piston stopping it returning this binding. It could be bushes as...

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

When my clutch fork went it went down and I flicked it back up but then it wouldn't go down again. I guess you could check master cylinder adjustment.

Clutch Pedal won't budge a mm

Yep clutch fork gone. Make sure you get a heavy dutyone fitted or that they either weld a plate across the back. This is a common problem with the pressed out clutch forks, they just wear through.

    Tree strop or bridal rope

I have what was sold as a towing bridal. It is a strop but can't think what the rating was. It came with 3 bow shackles. So I guess the answer would be yes.

What thickness of Plywood for sleeping platform

Cheers guys. My thinking on thinner ply was a trailer tent my parents had when I was a kid the fold out bed was thin. Piano hinge to the body and then just 3 legs to support the other side. That was double bed size. But thinking now it had fixed support. If I want to drop in takeout then need...

What thickness of Plywood for sleeping platform

As it says. Looking to build a sleeping platform to sit just below the rear windows in the 110. Was first planing a cover only so light weight then thought why not make it so I can sleep on it. So would 6.5mm be ok with a support by each wheel box or do I need thicker 9mm? It will be...

Fitted my wheels and Snorkel - Super Chuffed! :)

It's looking sweet. Love the wheels. As you sound like your planning on getting wet I hope you sealed all the joints on the snorkle. Couple of things on my rear wheel carrier you just adjust the position of the stops, no washers required. Also rock sliders might be a good idea. Makes good...

    which springs?

I'm sure they will be fine. The main thing seems to be how long they last. To help here I would keep a record of the spring heights. This will let you see how much they have sagged. Kevin
