Turns out the head bolts had come loose some how. Has happened twice now so have replaced bolts. Fingers crossed.

All of them are faulty apart from front wiper. They work ok apart from intermittent wiper which is faulty. Does this point to mfu then?

Would it be the body to chassis earth?

I could understand bad connection if only 1 problem but it's front and rear heated screens, rear fog light and rear wiper. I have swapped switches and fuses but with no joy

Can anyone please tell me why my front/ rear heated screens, rear wipe and rear fog lights do not work. I have checked all fuses which are ok and wiring at back of rear door and changed switches but still no joy. I have a permanent live to rear wiper and all switches. Any help please.

Hi guys, this is a question for a friend, he has just put head gasket on his disco300tdi also replaced rad and water pump, problem is massively overheating, we have been bleeding system for last 2 days blowers hot all hoses hot, new thermostat but still as soon as he drives 5 miles water peeing...

Well I was going to get originals from a local land rover garage and was quoted £40 each of pattern parts for £6. Xmas and all I went for the cheaper. Bigger fool me. Lol

Thanks. The flanges are still bolted to Landy I only replaced one end with a new UJ which is why I'm stumped. Or would the force cause the other end to drop out? Circlips were a pain as a pattern part and slightly thicker than the original but seemed to be well seated

Hi guys, well I changed the UJs on my propshaft (well one end) to drive down the road and hear a clunk then to have no movement at all, when I looked under Landy rear propshaft on the floor, all circlips etc put in correctly, changed UJs due to vibration, and yes one side was seized, changed oil...

I would replace the temp sensor just incase some has replaced it previously with a disc sensor. Happened to me, changed for correct sensor and bingo.

Hi Guys, I'm having a right day of disasters with my defender, she has a 200tdi disco conversion, I have compression tested engine and on 3 pots I am get 420 but on pot number3 I am only getting 350. Is this a problem? I am changing head gasket due to oil leaking from it near pot 1, will this...

Not been through any deep water what so ever, oil was very thin and of greyish colour? Is there anyway of testing diffs ?

Funny thing, when I checked oil it was like water in rear diff, and over full as I took plug out it run out for a while before stoping, I changed all diff oils last year and deffo did not over fill, is it possible to get water in diff, I've not been off roading or wading at all!! What is best...
