Replaced the lift pump and it started straight away, but 3 miles down the road it died again, so going to replace filter now, anything else major to look for?

I was able to get it to fire briefly by pumping fuel using the primeing lever. Yes they took the engine and box out to do the clutch - The lift pump is the factory fitted one.

yes that was parts price, labour was sometrhing like 1.3k including a bit of welding but was just on invoice as weld and clutch fit!
