I would add to all the above if your budget is only 2.7 k then maybe you should look at disco's or rr . You gf may prefer them too , And they are no less capable than a fender with plenty of lanes in your area to explore !

Had to replace a faulty jubilee clip which was allowing a hose to seep so I drained it flushed it through and replaced with fresh anti freeze .

They had that on the p38 50th edition had a mate with one it would change colour as you walked round it

Had them on the back but fronts were wearing too so swopped them round and after reading the threads on here I'll be changing all four when I can afford to .

I had the pirelli st all round but two were a bit low changed them for the str now the ****er tramlines so try and stick with same tread pattern

When I replaced my air bags I had my son push the collet in while pushed in the pipe to make sure it went all the way in but the pipes must be spottless any grit wont help them seal !

Mines out of car waiting to be packaged and sent off , I have had problems with cd's jamming in unit had to take it apart to remove them and ****ed up disc's and some that have been recorded of a computer Haven't played but until the head unit LCD died it was great .

I marshal the off road course at billing every year and use it for recovering other tricked up or standard land rovers it's more than capable in its own right but I must admit some front recovery points wouldn't come amiss , I had qt diff guards on my classic I'd like a pair of them on my p38 .

I don't know wot mine does I fill it up computer says 36 then slowly drops down to 12 so I just put the stuff in when gauge say 1/4 it's a 4.6

Looked in on this thread out of curiosity I would say your average consumption ain't bad mine is 12 mpg on a 4.6 rr but wot a lovely ride !
